Raspberries are a very healthy food, Low in calories and fat, cholesterol-free and high in fiber and vitamin C. They are also considered by many to be the most intensely flavored member of the berry family.


Choose plump, firm, fully raspberries. Select raspberries that are unblemished and dry, in an unstained container. Raspberries should be medium to bright red, depending on the variety.


It is best to wash the raspberries just before use by rinsing gently under running water and either allow to air dry or use a paper towel to remove excess water. Eat them at room temperature for fullest flavour.


Added to smoothies, yogurt, sauces, garden salads, fruit salads, and salad dressings, raspberries are versatile and delicious.
