We love Blueberries!
Don’t let their size fool you! Good things do come in small packages. Blueberries are low in calories, but high in nutrients. Blueberries are a good source of vitamin K, vitamin C, fibre, manganese and other antioxidants. One serving/cup contains almost 25 percent of your daily requirement of vitamin C. They are also low in fat and sodium, only 80 calories in one serving/cup.
When you buy fresh blueberries, make sure the berries are firm, dry, plump and smooth-skinned.
Refrigerate your fresh blueberries either in their original plastic pack or in a covered bowl or container. Be sure to wash your blueberries just before you start enjoying and eat them within 10 days.
